Realistic flashing programmes for your emergency vehicle

A beacon that simply switches on and off immediately gives the model away. The Tams lighting module FCS-1 drives up to five LED outputs with genuine flashing patterns and is connected directly to the battery or cells in your vehicle. Depending on how the input is assigned, you choose between two programmes.

The two programmes

Programme 1: double flash

The LEDs each flash briefly twice and then go out for a moment. Two outputs are driven so that the connected LEDs flash alternately. The other three outputs produce an asynchronous double flash, interrupted by pauses of varying length.

Programme 2: alternating flash

Two of the five outputs produce an alternating flash and two others produce an alternating double flash. The LED on the fifth output flashes at its own frequency, out of step with the remaining outputs.

Installation

1. Step 1 – Connect the module to the battery or cells in the vehicle.
2. Step 2 – Connect your LEDs to the required outputs.
3. Step 3 – Select programme 1 or 2 through the input assignment.
4. Step 4 – Test the flashing pattern and conceal the module in the vehicle.
